Get rid of toxic household chemicals, such as cleaning products, pool chemicals, pesticides and weed killer, safely at Clifton Hill Depot. Supported by Sustainability Victoria, Detox Your Home provides a free, safe and easy way to free your home of toxic chemicals, which are then reused and diverted from landfill of disposed of responsibly.

How it works

• Register for a time slot using the link below.
• Clearly label your items and place them in the empty boot of your car or vehicle tray.
• Drive to Clifton Hill Depot at 168 Roseneath Street, Clifton Hill and follow the signage and directions.
• Stay in your car, we'll check you in and do the rest!

If you can’t get to an event, here’s how to store unwanted household chemicals until you can safely dispose of them.

Please note, in line with Victoria’s current COVID-19 restrictions, the Detox your Home events scheduled for Saturday 5 June, Saturday 24 July, Sunday 15 August, Sunday 3 October 2021 are postponed and will now run in 2022. New dates will be announced in 2022.
