Decade of Healthy Ageing Workshop

Presented by U3A

Connecting community groups to promote healthy ageing. This workshop helps groups develop strategies to foster active ageing in Yarra. Keynote Speaker Dr Sandro Demaio (CEO VicHealth) explores our understanding of a wellbeing economy and what it can offer Victoria now and into the future. Followed by Lauren Brooker (Coordinator Positive Ageing, Yarra Council) who provides local context, exploring the City of Yarra’s Active & Healthy Ageing Plan. We’ll finish with a Q & A session with both speakers.

Easy Tai Chi

Instructor Agnes Paoli will guide you through gentle and restorative exercise therapy, which helps to release physical, mental and emotional stress to improve health and wellbeing. This easy Tai Chi course explores slow stretches, and gentle flowing movements with a strong focus on mindfulness and presence.
