Ground Control

Wednesday 03 March 2021 - Sunday 09 May 2021

Grace Wood, Tryna Reach You (2017), digital image, dimensions variable.

Ground Control is a group exhibition of artists who associate themselves with the intersection of image-making, identity politics and place.

With an emphasis on the physical landscape and the environment, each artist examines preconceived constructs of place and identity and how these can shift over time. Blending photography, digital media and installation, Ground Control considers the role image-making plays in society’s understanding of national identity. Working in dialogue with each other and separately, each artist explores the ways in which they engage with and visualize their surroundings. In response to ongoing and recent events, Ground Control reflects a personal and local revaluation of place and our roles within it.

Featuring the work of Alice Duncan, Christine McFetridge, Steven Rhall and Grace Wood.
