Soak up the sounds and surrounds of the Abbotsford Convent at the all-ages arts and music festival, Open Spaces.
Featuring live music, DJs, roving performances, art, kids programs, markets, food trucks and more.
Entertainment
Enjoy your beats with a side of natural beauty at the Gulanboon stage set in the Convent’s sprawling heritage gardens. The lineup includes:

- HAYCH
- Elle Shimada
- N’fa Jones
- Parvyn
- Pookie
- Danika Smith.
The DJ stage will spotlight female-identifying artists, featuring Colette, Aucan Alias, Adriana, Imaxx, Mamacita Bonnita and Emelyne.
Kids
Young ones are in for a treat with a slew of popular Convent Kids programs including a Polyglot Theatre program, karaoke for kids, book making with Kids’ Own Publishing, a Deep Soulful Sweats dance party and more.
Art
Get your dose of art with a performance from Ilbijerri Theatre Company, hip-hop workshops with Ngioka Bunda-Heath, jewellery-making demonstrations by Katheryn Leopoldseder, screen-printing demos by Ink & Spindle, an Ethiopian dance class presented with AfroHub, life drawing and watercolour classes, studio tours and more. The Convent’s WellBeing group will also be on hand to offer yoga and meditation classes, massage sessions and more.
Food and drink
There’ll be plenty of opportunities to fuel up at Taco Truck, Billy van Creamy, Ghost Kitchen, Mabu Mabu and two pop-up bars. The Convent's onsite eateries Cam's, Lentil As Anything, Convent Bakery and Kappaya will also be open over the weekend.

$5 entry per day
Free entry for children aged under 5 and for Companion Card Holders
Entry from 11am via the main gate on St Heliers Street.
