Plotting, the book launch
Saturday 05 October 2019
Fifteen years ago Rushall Community Garden harvested its first produce.
This year, the Garden will launch its first book, Plotting, to celebrate a flourishing gardening community’s commitment to sustainable organic gardening principles and fifteen years of planting, harvesting, sharing and chatting in North Fitzroy.
Plotting is a collection of over 150 seasonal recipes shared by garden members over four seasons and complied by Lynda Achren. Eating seasonally is at the heart of this collection, with recipes grouped according to the season when the main ingredient is harvested. Plotting also features Melbourne-centric growing notes that guide gardeners on techniques such as the use of organic fertilisers and companion planting.
This wonderful book will be launched in October and available at the Rushall Community Garden Open Day.
