Debt recovery for small business (Free business training)

Thursday 12 September 2019

One of the most frustrating and costly issues that small businesses face is dealing with debts and clients who don’t pay. It can seriously affect your cash flow and be a source of enormous personal (as well as work related!) stress.

This workshop will outline the options available to you to recover debts, including letters of demand, statutory demands, debt collectors, and commencing proceedings in VCAT or court.

We will also discuss how a good set of terms and conditions is one of the best things you can invest in, and how and why they can help.

About the speaker:

Allie Levine is a solicitor at Sinclair + May, a female-led, commercial, boutique law firm in Clifton Hill. Allie loves working with small businesses to ensure that they understand their legal rights and obligations, and understands the difficulties that small businesses can face in keeping on top of these things. She frequently assists small businesses with all manner of legal issues, both on the preventative end, but also when it comes to disputes and mopping up messes. She is well versed in employment law, debt recovery, leasing and understands the importance of providing practical and commercial advice to her clients.
