National Tree Day at Fairfield Park
Sunday 28 July 2019
Celebrate National Tree Day in Fairfield Park by helping us plant 4,000 indigenous plants in the park including a floral meadow and trees on Sunday 28 July from 10am to 12pm.
Join us as we celebrate Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event.
By planting these plants in the park, it will improve the mid-storey habitat values to the west end of the park, and showcase a broad range of indigenous floral species to inspire people when designing their own gardens
There will be:
- family focused enviro-education
- a free barbeque with vegan options available
- an interactive native animal display
Please make sure you wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and consider clothing appropriate for weather conditions on the day.
We will provide you with gloves, tools and equipment for planting, watering cans and buckets.
Register with us on the day.
This event has been made possible with the help of Merri Creek Management Committee, Planet Ark, Felix Botanica and Friends of Merri Creek.
