Returning for its 12th year, the beloved Gertrude Street Projection Festival (GSPF), once more takes up residence in Yarra’s inner-north from 26 July.

For nine nights in the depth of winter, GSPF will present works from over 20 artists that blur the lines between private and public space; experiment with the shape, space and meaning of the urban landscape; and explore projection art as medium and message.

This staple of the inner-north arts scene has a reputation for discovering artists, uncovering places and ideas and bringing together locals and visitors by night to experience playful,
thoughtful and inspiring works.

This year, expect a contemporary art festival with the community at is heart on the fringes of the city. Discover live performance, virtual reality, gaming, light and immersive projection scattered in and around Gertrude Street, in amongst the nightlife buzz.

The Festival will include opening night celebrations and an epic closing party in Atherton Gardens curated and produced by emerging producers from Yarra Youth Services.
