Lunchbox learning: Alleviating back pain at work (Free business training)

Thursday 25 October 2018

What sort of exercise should I do to relieve my neck or back pain? In this interactive session we will look at simple ways of bringing more ease into our everyday movements, whether in exercise or in ordinary everyday activities. The focus of the Alexander Technique is on the principles we need to follow in order to bring optimal coordination to all the activities of daily life – a skill which most people have lost since childhood with the development of ingrained tension patterns which limit freedom and interfere with free breathing and postural integrity.

About the presenter:

David Moore heads the School for F.M. Alexander Studies in North Fitzroy. The school which was established in Smith Street, Collingwood in 1998 runs a three year full time Advanced Diploma in Alexander Technique Teaching. It also offers a large range of classes and workshops to the general public. David has been teaching the Alexander Technique since 1985 and has a special interest in its application in the workplace and to yoga practice. He is the author of “Smart Yoga: Apply the Alexander Technique to Enhance Your Practice, Prevent Injury, and Increase Body Awareness."
