WeTeachMe workshop: goal setting and mindfulness
Wednesday 24 October 2018
One of the key ingredients for successfully managing your time is identifying your goals. Goals are what will keep you motivated and focused – both essential to being productive. Goals that can happen quickly are called short-term goals. Goals that take a long time to achieve are called long-term goals. A short-term goal is something you want to do in the near future. The near future can mean today, this week, this month, or even this year. A short-term goal is something you want to accomplish soon. A long-term goal is something you want to go further in the future. Long-term goals require time and planning. They are not something you can do this week or even this year. Long-term goals usually take 12 months or more to achieve.
It often takes a certain skill to be able to view what's right in front of you and what's further ahead. Seeing your goals through these two lenses -- the micro and the macro -- enables you to see the entire picture and allows you to work towards attaining them.
