Campfire Stories

Wednesday 25 July 2018

Beginning with hot Arabic chai provided by former Syrian refugees, this event will be officially opened by the Djirri Djirri Dance Group with a Welcome to Country and a performance.

Following that, the audiences will immerse themselves in rich and diverse tales by four storytellers.

Hosted by the Zimbabwean born, Lorraine Ngwenya, who is a speaker, advocate, entrepreneur and founder of Useful Link, the night will feature storytellers, Bwe Thay, Iqbal Safar, Lizzy Kouth and Salat Youhana.

Storytelling has the capacity to nurture understanding and compassion. Listen to stories that enrich and influence Melbourne’s culture. Audiences are engaged by everyday Victorians sharing their experiences of being a refugee.
