Pecha Kucha Presentation Night
Tuesday 08 May 2018
As part of Melbourne Knowledge Week 2018, Yarra Libraries, Pecha Kucha Melbourne and The Ewing Trust present: Pecha Kucha: Wealth and Inequality
Hear speakers talk wealth inequality, what it means to them, their jobs, their passions, community, and the future. Increasing wealth inequality is having an effect on communities worldwide. With each passing year, wealth becomes more concentrated amongst a select few, and the gap between the have and have-nots becomes wider.
These fast-paced talks will be presented in the Pecha Kucha style - what began as an event for young designers in Tokyo in 2003 and is now a worldwide celebration of creative. Eight presenters, six minutes each, 20 images x 20 seconds. This is chit chat, but it's not small talk. These fast-paced presentations cram big issues into short spaces, and this event will get you thinking about wealth, community, and the gaps between haves and have-nots.
This event will be AUSLAN supported.
Bookings essential. You do not need to bring a ticket with you to this event.
