Thursday 22 February 2018 - Thursday 26 April 2018

Visual artist and author Tai Snaith presents two enormous posters on the walls of the Bargoonga Nganjin Library of photographs depicting two giant open books punctuated and obscured with her hand-made ceramic objects.

The works present the artist’s internal dialogues and aims to illustrate discussions around notions and signifiers of the self. They explore the question of what it is to be an ‘Open Book’ and what it might mean to be open to different types of language within oneself.

Tai Snaith is an Australian artist, curator and writer with a broad practice ranging from painting and ceramics to curating, conducting conversations and broadcasting. Her work has been part of many solo and group exhibitions, and has held numerous residencies and workshops. Recently she curated and showed work in 'Gardening in not a rational act' at C3 Contemporary Art Space in 2017 at Abbotsford Convent.
