Victoria Street Lunar Festival

Sunday 28 January 2018

Enjoy a wonderful day out as bustling Victoria Street Richmond becomes a festival zone to celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome in the Year of the Dog.

This is Victoria's largest celebration of this type as people come far and wide to enjoy a great day suited for all ages and budgets.

Hundreds of stalls on Victoria Street, between Hoddle and Church Streets, will be offering a delicious smorgasbord of Asian food from different regions. Have a go at the Pho eating competition which was hugely successful, proving how quickly a good bowl of noodles can go down!

Entertainment features local and international talent, activities for all of the family and the traditional firecracker parade to rid the street of bad spirits and to welcome a brand new year of good luck and prosperity.

The Victoria Street Lunar Festival is organised by the Victoria Street Businesses Association and supported by the City of Yarra through our major festivals scheme - Celebrate Yarra.
