Stolen Generations Marker fundraiser with Dan Sultan

Saturday 02 December 2017

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Dan Sultan and special guests are taking over The Croxton Bandroom for a night of soulful rock n roll.

All proceeds from this event will go towards towards the development of a Stolen Generations Marker and garden in Gertrude Street, Fitzroy.

Dan’s family has been touched by the Stolen Generations and his song-writing often bears the marks of this – in the weary strength of his voice, the raw soulfulness of his phrasing and the redemptive longing of his lyrics. Those who know and love Dan’s music will have picked up on his connection to the Stolen Generations in Kimberly Calling and also the beautiful ode, Roslyn.

Dan, who’s fourth album Killer debuted at #5 and is up for three 2017 ARIA Awards, will be joined on this night of storytelling and song by special guests Ella Hooper, Kira Puru, Clairy Browne, Kutcha Edwards, Uncle Jack Charles and MC Brian Nankervis.

Tickets are on sale now on through Oztix, book now to avoid missing out!

For more details on the event visit The Croxton Bandroom’s event page.

We are developing the Stolen Generations Marker and gardens in consultation with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Find out more about this project online or make a donation on our fundraising page today!
