It's all about crowdfunding

Wednesday 13 September 2017 -

Crowdfunding has made a very successful entry into the Australian fundraising arena. If executed well it can be very effective for raising funds from a large number of people to support your cause or project.

A successful crowdfunding campaign requires planning, good implementation and constant involvement throughout the campaign to keep it moving along and gaining momentum. Putting less than 100% effort into the project could lead to failure as well as do damage to your organisation’s reputation and future donors.

This session will assist your community organisation to understand more about crowdfunding so you can decide if this is the right way to go, and if it is, how to effectively go about building a successful campaign to bring money in to support your organisation.

Topics include:

  • Appreciating the pro’s and con’s of crowdfunding
  • Planning your first crowdfunding campaign
  • Understanding what to do first
  • Creating a “pitch’
  • Making your project stand out from others
  • Identifying ways to connect with their community
  • Determining if you will give out rewards
