In One Act is a playwriting development program delivered in partnership between Yarra Libraries and Melbourne Writers’ Theatre, facilitated by Elizabeth Walley.

The focus of the program is to foster the development of emerging writers and provide opportunities to develop ideas, connect with other writers and benefit from professional development via guidance delivered by skilled industry creatives. In this program participants will work towards the development of one-act plays. A number of plays that are deemed ready for showcasing/presentation to the public will be selected for inclusion in a number of performance play-readings with wider audiences.
