Bob Rose Stand Night Projections
Tuesday 04 July 2017 - Sunday 31 December 2017
June - August 2017
In 2011, Council finalised the redevelopment of the former home of the Collingwood Football Club, Victoria Park, into a major community recreation space. As a part of that redevelopment, a number of public art and heritage projects were delivered. One of those is the ongoing projection site on the side of the Bob Rose Stand.
Throughout the winter months, some spectacular site-specific projection works will activate the western wall of the Bob Rose Stand. This winter, we will show three artworks from Yarra’s Art and Heritage Collection that were commissioned specifically to be projected onto this building (a wall 15 metres high and 8 metres wide) and to be viewed after dark at this unusual site that celebrates sport, art and community. These artworks are:
Kit Webster Boundaries and Lines 2012, exhibited throughout June
Amanda Morgan Colour Field Painting 2013, exhibited throughout July
Olaf Meyer Transformation 2011, exhibited throughout August
