Yarra Sustainability Awards

The Yarra Sustainability Awards has been celebrating innovative community efforts towards environmental sustainability in Yarra since 2010.

The Yarra Sustainability Awards highlight the work of individuals and organisations across 6 categories:

  • Business
  • Building design and development
  • Frank Fisher award
  • Educational services
  • Community action
  • Local Hero

A People's Choice Award is also presented each year based on community votes.

The awards are usually held in early June, to coincide with World Environment Day by celebrating innovative community achievement right here in Yarra.

The 2017 Sustainability Awards were replaced with multiple community sustainability engagement events throughout the year. As the 2016 Sustainable City of the Year, we also hosted the Keep Victoria Beautiful Awards in September 2017.

The Yarra Sustainability Awards will be returning in 2018.

The awards will be returning in 2018, keep an eye on our website, Facebook page and sign-up to the Environment E-news for announcement details.
