Why was the committee formed?

In 2009, an advisory committee including 6 community members, 1 Councillor and our staff was created to provide input into guidelines for the development of community gardens. The committee came together again in 2011 to provide input into the development of guidelines for planter boxes, nature strip gardens and urban orchards.

Followed up by the development of the Yarra Urban Agriculture Strategy, which was adopted in 2014.
