Active Ageing Advisory Group

What does the Active Ageing Advisory Group do?

The Active Ageing Advisory Group provides advice and support to Yarra City Council regarding issues affecting the lives of older residents.

 This group has successfully advocated for funding for the following:

  • Companion animal service
  • Yarra Men’s Shed
  • Senior ambassadors program

Other work includes advocacy for a feasibility study to build a hydro pool in Yarra and oversight of our Positive Ageing Strategy Action Plan 2014–2017
