The Community Awards Committee provides recommendations on the recipients of the Yarra Community Awards.

What does the committee do?

The committee recommends to the Chief Executive Officer on the successful recipients of the following awards:

• Citizen of the Year Award
• Young Citizen of the Year Award
• Community Initiative of the Year Award

The committee also recommends the recipients of each of the 'Contributions to' award categories.is responsible for judging the annual Yarra Community Awards. This includes agreeing upon the judging criteria, assessing the nominations and selecting winners in each category.

Who are the committee members?

The following Councillors were appointed to the committee for 2023:
