Health and Safety
Council works to enhance community health and wellbeing by managing a range of environmental risks to health.
Some of the main duties of Council's Public Health Unit include checking that food is being safely prepared in businesses; immunising against infectious diseases; and inspecting facilities such as tattooists and public boarding rooms to ensure they are meeting hygiene standards.
