Welcome to the Yarra Youth Services Holiday Program!

We have a selection of fun–filled, educational and energising activities foryoung people aged 12–18 years, who live,work or study in the City of Yarra.

Youth Holiday Program Summer 2015

Bookings for the Summer 2015 Youth Services Holiday Program are now open. 

Activities will  take place on selected week days from Wednesday 7 January - Friday 23 January.

All bookings and payments are due by Friday 18 December 2014.

Please note: The program is open to young people aged 12–18 who live, work or study in the City of Yarra.  Twelve year olds who attend primary school are not eligible for this program. They are eligible instead for Council’s Vacation Care program.

WEEK 1

Wednesday 7 January
Watermarc 
Ride the giant waterslide at WaterMarc. A fun day of indoor swimming to cool off from the summer heat!
VENUE: WaterMarc, 1 Flintoff St, Greensborough

WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothing, swimwear, towel and a change of clothes.

Thursday 8 January - FREE
Healesville Sanctuary
Explore Healesville Sanctuary – a bushland haven for Australian wildlife.
VENUE: Badger Creek Road, Healesville

YMCA Amazing (Richmond) Race - FREE

Race in teams to complete challenges,win prizes, and get soaked in an EPIC water fight!

Tour De Melbourne

Enjoy a leisurely bicycle tour along some ofthe fantastic bike paths of Melbourne.

YMCA DJ Workshop

In this workshop you will learn basic DJ skills to mix your own music.

Surf Safari

Drive to Torquay for a surfing lesson with professional surfers. All equipment supplied. Get in quick – places are limited!

Return your completed form to Yarra Youth Services by:

  • posting your form to: Yarra Youth Services Holiday Program, 156 Napier Street, Fitzroy 3065
  • visiting the Yarra Community Youth Centre (156 Napier Street, Fitzroy) weekdays from 3pm - 5pm
  • visiting Richmond Town Hall (333 Bridge Road,Richmond), Collingwood Town Hall (140 Hoddle Street, Abbotsford), or Connie Benn Centre (160 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy) from Monday–Friday between 8.30am–5pm.

Please note - bookings and payments are due on Friday 19 December 2014.

3. Make payment.
 Payment can be made at the Yarra Community Youth Centre by cash, cheque or money order.

Payment by EFTPOS can only be made at the Richmond Town Hall, Collingwood Town Hall or Connie Benn Centre.

Please note bookings cannot be secured without payment. If you have any issues with making a payment, please contact Youth Services on 9426 1455.

Yarra Youth Services will call you to confirm you booking.

Lunch and snacks

Yarra Youth Services provides a healthy lunch, muesli bar and bottle of water to each young person attending the program. If you would like additional food or drinks, please bring your own from home or bring money to purchase your own.

Cost

The cost is $17.50 per day or $3 for Health Care Card holders, unless otherwise indicated. Lunch is provided on each day.

People who have booked to attend the activities can be picked up from (and later returned to) the following locations:
