Youth Services Holiday Program

Welcome to the Yarra Youth Services Holiday Program!

We have a selection of fun–filled, educational and energising activities foryoung people aged 12–18 years, who live,work or study in the City of Yarra.

Bookings for the Spring Youth Services Holiday Program are now open. Activities will  take place on week days from 23 September - 3 October 2014.

All bookings and payments are due by Thursday 18 September 2014.

Please note: The program is open to young people aged 12–18 who live, work or study in the City of Yarra.  Twelve year olds who attend primary school are not eligible for this program. They are eligible instead for Council’s Vacation Care program.

Tuesday 23 September

Connect with your inner fashionista and learn how to make your own earrings and necklaces.
VENUE: Yarra Youth and Community Centre, 156 Napier Street, Fitzroy

Wednesday 24 September
Explore digital storytelling and makea short film in this creative workshop.
VENUE: Collingwood Youth Space, 253 Hoddle St

Come to the Zoo and see the Sumatran tigers, Asianelephants and the amazing orang-utans!

Friday 26 September

Join the fun at Melbourne Central for a day of ten pin bowling and laser tag.

Tuesday 30 September
Luna Park madness! Prepare for a fun-filled day withunlimited rides at Melbourne’s favourite amusement park.
VENUE: Luna Park, St Kilda

Wednesday 1 October

Thursday 2 October

Get your creative juices flowing in this two day workshop. Experiment and create a unique artwork with spray paint.

Friday 3 October

Galactic Circus is an interactive indoor theme park offering video games, simulators, laser skirmish and loads more!

How to book

1. Choose up to four paid activities and any free activities you would like to participate in.

2. Fill in this pdf format Youth Holiday Booking Form Spring 2014 (52.66 KB) and submit it by:

  • posting your form to: Yarra Youth Services Holiday Program, 156 Napier Street, Fitzroy 3065
  • visiting the Yarra Community Youth Centre (156 Napier Street, Fitzroy) weekdays from 3pm - 5pm
  • visiting Richmond Town Hall (333 Bridge Road,Richmond) or Collingwood Town Hall (140 Hoddle Street, Abbotsford), Monday–Friday between 8.30am–5pm.

Please note - bookings and payments are due on Thursday 18 September 2014.

3. Make payment.
 Payment can be made at the Yarra Community Youth Centre by cash, cheque or money order.

Payment by EFTPOS can only be made at the Richmond Town Hall or Collingwood Town Hall.

Please note bookings cannot be secured without payment. If you have any issues with making a payment, please contact Youth Services on 9426 1455.

Yarra Youth Services will call you to confirm you booking.

Lunch and snacks

Yarra Youth Services provides a healthy lunch, muesli bar and bottle of water to each young person attending the program. If you would like additional food or drinks, please bring your own from home or bring money to purchase your own.


The cost is $17.50 per day or $3 for Health Care Card holders, unless otherwise indicated. Lunch is provided on each day.

People who have booked to attend the activities can be picked up from (and later returned to) the following locations:
