Welcome to the Yarra Youth Services Holiday Program!

We have a selection of fun–filled, educational and energising activities foryoung people aged 12–18 years, who live,work or study in the City of Yarra.

Youth Holiday Program March-April 2015

Bookings for the March-April 2015 Youth Services Holiday Program are now open. 

Activities will  take place on selected week days from Tuesday 31 March - Friday 10 April.

All bookings and payments are due by Friday 20 March 2015.

Please note: The program is open to young people aged 12–18 who live, work or study in the City of Yarra.  Twelve year olds who attend primary school are not eligible for this program. They are eligible instead for Council’s Vacation Care program.

WEEK 1

Tuesday 31 March
BOUNCE

Fly through the air and bounce off the walls. BOUNCE is a massive indoor trampoline universe which is allabout jumping high and landing soft and safe.
VENUE: 2 Weir St, Glen Iris

Wednesday 1 + Thursday 2 April
FITZROY VALHALLA FILM PROJECT - FREE

A five day Super 8 animation project creating extraordinary film art from ordinary circumstances.
VENUE: Yarra Youth Services, 156 Napier St, Fitzroy

Wednesday 1 April
YMCA CREATIVE WORKSHOP - FREE

Expand your talents with a variety of creativework shops. Singing, dancing, spoken word, acting,you name it! BYO secret talent!
VENUE: Youth Space, 253 Hoddle St, Collingwood

Thursday 2 April
LASER TAG AND ESCAPE ROOM

Team up and shoot your way to victory in Laser Tag! Use your wits to get out of the escape rooms.
VENUE: Melbourne Central and QV, Melbourne CBD

TOUR DE MELBOURNE BIKE RIDE

Enjoy a leisurely bicycle tour along some of thefantastic bike pathways of Melbourne.
VENUE: Federation Square to Port Melbourne
PICK-UPS AND DROP-OFFS
Richmond: 9:50 am – 3:50pm
Collingwood: 10:10am – 4:10pm
Fitzroy: 10:20am – 3.20pm
WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothes for cycling, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. Bicycleswill be supplied.

Thursday 9 April
WATERMARC

Get ready for a fun day of indoor swimming and giant water slide at WaterMarc.
VENUE: 1 Flintoff St, Greensborough
PICK-UPS AND DROP-OFFS
Richmond: 9.30am – 3:50pm
Collingwood: 9.50am – 3:30pm
Fitzroy: 10:10am – 4:10pm
WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothing, swimwear,towel, plastic bag and a change of clothes.

Friday 10 April
YMCA END OF HOLIDAYS PARTY!

Celebrate the end of the holidays with food, music, and in-house entertainment! Get ready to party like its 2015!
VENUE: Community Information Centre,110 Elizabeth St, Richmond
PICK-UPS AND DROP-OFFS
Richmond: 11:00 am – 3.30pm (please go directly tothe Community Information Centre)
Collingwood: 10.40 am – 3.50pm
Fitzroy: 10:20 am – 4:10pm
WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable casualclothing and covered shoes.

How to book

1. Choose up to four paid activities and any free activities you would like to participate in.

And return it to Yarra Youth Services by:

  • posting your form to: Yarra Youth Services Holiday Program, 156 Napier Street, Fitzroy 3065
  • visiting the Yarra Community Youth Centre (156 Napier Street, Fitzroy) weekdays from 3pm - 5pm
  • visiting Richmond Town Hall (333 Bridge Road,Richmond), Collingwood Town Hall (140 Hoddle Street, Abbotsford), or Connie Benn Centre (160 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy) from Monday–Friday between 8.30am–5pm.

Please note - bookings and payments are due on Friday 20 March.

3. Make payment.
 Payment can be made at the Yarra Community Youth Centre by cash, cheque or money order.

Payment by EFTPOS can only be made at the Richmond Town Hall, Collingwood Town Hall or Connie Benn Centre.

Please note bookings cannot be secured without payment. If you have any issues with making a payment, please contact Youth Services on 9426 1455.

Yarra Youth Services will call you to confirm you booking.

Lunch and snacks

Yarra Youth Services provides a healthy lunch, muesli bar and bottle of water to each young person attending the program. If you would like additional food or drinks, please bring your own from home or bring money to purchase your own.

Cost

The cost is $17.50 per day or $3 for Health Care Card holders, unless otherwise indicated. Lunch is provided on each day.

People who have booked to attend the activities can be picked up from (and later returned to) the following locations:
