Swim squad training

Yarra Triathlon’s qualified coaches specialise in swimming, cycling and running, with Squads catering for all ages and fitness levels.

Whether you are training for triathlons, open water swims, adventure races, recreational fitness, fun runs or any other sporting pursuit, our training squads can cater for you. Our comprehensive squad timetable is sure to be able to cater for all your training needs.

Session descriptions

Swim Squad

Swim squads are structured for all fitness levels and are aimed at helping swimmers develop all four strokes through individual feedback and progressive training.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Intermediate Swim Squad

Intermediate swim squad is targeted towards novice squad swimmers, particularly those who have completed a Yarra Triathlon short course. The focus is to develop technique, building stamina, speed and strength.

Duration: 1 hour

Open Water Swim (November - February)

The open water swim squad develops the essential skills associated with open water swimming.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Run Squad

Run Squad focuses on developing running strength and endurance using a range of different distances, speed and intervals around the Studley Park Trails.

Duration: 1 hour

Long Run

Long Run is an easy paced group run that focuses on developing aerobic base.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Track Run

Track Run builds running speed and develops technique while teaching participants the skills to pace.

Duration: 1 hour 

Ergo

Ergo sessions are an indoor cycling session structured to enhance your speed, strength and endurance through specific cycling and triathlon intervals.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Road Cycle

Road Cycle focuses on specific cycling and triathlon riding skills in varied locations.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Brick

Brick session simulates race conditions providing participants the opportunity to improve both cycling and running. The session focuses on developing cycling and running speed, endurance and practicing transitions.

Duration: 1.5 hours

One on One Coaching 

Yarra Triathlon offers 1 on 1 and 2 on 1 coaching services across swimming, cycling and running.

All 1 on 1 and 2 on 1 sessions are 30 minutes in duration and allows participants to train under the guidance of a qualified coach and focus on individual skill development.

One on One - $63.90

Two on One - $106.90
