Five swim squad sessions are available from Monday to Friday, with a minimum of two sessions recommended to attend. Training should be based at Collingwood Leisure Centre or Richmond Recreation Centre.

Fit Squad is aimed at participants who still love swimming and want to continue improving their endurance and technique, but are not interested in competing. Swimmers should be at a minimum Pre-State level. This allows the coaches to focus the sessions to better suit the swimmers in each squad.
Swimmers do not have to commit to a certain number of sessions per week.
The Pre-State Squad training program is designed for swimmers with an interest in developing the strokes and techniques used in competition level swimming. Participation at various competitions is encouraged, with a strong focus on improving personal best times and working towards State Qualifying Times.

The State Squad training program is designed for swimmers looking to advance their stroke skills and techniques to an elite level. Participation at State level competitions is encouraged with an aim to achieve National Qualifying Times.
Ten swim squad sessions and three dry land sessions are available from Monday to Saturday, with a minimum of five to six sessions recommended to attend. Training sessions are across all three Yarra Leisure centres (Collingwood, Fitzroy, and Richmond).
The National Level squad is designed to cater for those training to achieve National Championship qualifying times. A gym membership is included at this level and specific dry-land sessions are encouraged for swimmers to attend, to compliment their squad training.
