Reconciliation Action Plan 2015/16

RAP-2015Yarra City Council’s vision for Reconciliation is to be a local government leader in Victoria and across the country in addressing the complex issues underlying inequalities between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples in our local community.

In August 2015, Council adopted a new Reconciliation Action Plan that contains specific actions the organisation and its staff will take to strengthen ties between Yarra and its Aboriginal community.

The Reconciliation Action Plan is underpinned by three core values – Relationships, Respect and Opportunities. These values provide a firm foundation for Council and its employees to further develop their connection to with the local Aboriginal community and contribute to Yarra’s Reconciliation journey.
