Yarra's Annual Grants for 2017
Applications for Council’s 2017 Annual Grants will open on Monday, 13 June and close at 5pm Monday, 25 July 2016.
The grants provide financial and in-kind support for community initiatives and projects running in 2017 that address local needs and enhance the health and wellbeing of the Yarra community.
There are three grants information sessions being held to inform applicants about the process of applying.
- Monday, 6 June, 2pm to 3pm at Collingwood Library Meeting Room, 11 Stanton Street, Abbotsford
- Tuesday, 7 June, 12pm to 1pm at Fitzroy Town Hall (Reading Room), Napier Street, Fitzroy
- Thursday, 9 June, 6pm to 7pm at Richmond Town Hall (Meeting Room 1), 333 Bridge Road, Richmond.
There will also be a free How to Write Grants training session open to the community held at Richmond Town Hall (Meeting Room 2) on Wednesday, 22 June from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Please RSVP to book your place on 9205 5170 or firstname.lastname@example.org

There will be two targeted information sessions for applicants under the youth-led stream this year. It is compulsory for interested applicants attend at least one of the workshopping sessions to get planning advice, application support or help finding an auspice organisation.
The sessions will be held at Yarra Youth Services and other locations across Yarra as required on:
- Wednesday, 8 June, 5pm to 7pm
- Wednesday, 15 June, 5pm to 7pm.
This year the sustainability stream is continuing the Partnering for Sustainability grant category to support larger and more complex community projects. If you intend to apply under this category, you are required to complete an additional attachment to address the nature of the partnership envisaged as part of the grant application.

If you are applying to the sustainability stream under the General Sustainability Grant category you do not need to complete this extra attachment.
There will be a targeted information session and workshop for people applying under the sustainability stream on Tuesday, 28 June, 6pm to 7pm at Fitzroy Town Hall (Council Chambers).
