Residents and visitors in the City of Yarra do a lot of walking, which provides a host of benefits including increasing health and social interaction, while helping to build stronger communities.
Walking is also a great way to learn about your city, your neighbours and your local community. The City of Yarra has many hectares of open space ranging from parks, gardens, creeks and the great Yarra River. All of this amounts to a perfect environment for walking and outdoor recreation.
The City of Yarra encourages you to get off the beaten track. One of the greatest benefits of living in an older area like the City of Yarra is the number of little laneways waiting to be explored.

The National Public Toilet Map (the Map) shows the location of more than 14,000 public and private public toilet facilities across Australia. Details of toilet facilities can also be found along major travel routes and for shorter journeys as well. Useful information is provided about each toilet, such as location, opening hours, availability of baby change rooms, accessibility for people with disabilities and the details of other nearby toilets.
The development of the Map and the Web site is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Health and Ageing as part of the National Continence Management Strategy .
