Amendment C150 to the Yarra Planning Scheme was approved by the Minister for Planning under Section 20(4) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and gazetted on 26 July 2012.
As it falls under Section 20(4) of the Act, the Minister was able to approve the Amendment without consulting with Council or the public.
The Amendment was requested by developer Urbis Pty. Ltd. on behalf of Salta Properties Pty. Ltd. and makes the following change to the Yarra Planning Scheme:
- Modifies the existing Incorporated Document at Clause 52.03 of the Yarra Planning Scheme for the site at 520 Victoria Street and 2A Burnley Street and 2 – 30 Burnley Street, Richmond, and
- Introduces the option to redevelop the land for residential and commercial (cafe, convenience shop, community space and office) uses, with a car parking rate of one space per dwelling and no visitor spaces, without a planning permit, provided it is consistent with the conditions and plans indentified in the Incorporated Document.
