Rezoning of land for Richmond Plaza Shopping Centre car park

Amendment C138 proposes to rezone the land at 46-48 Cameron Street, Richmond and the land formerly known as 'Henty Street' to its west, from a General Residential Zone (GRZ) to a Commercial 1 Zone (C1Z), to reflect its use as car parking for Richmond Plaza Shopping Centre.

The land affected by the amendment is:

  • the land at 46-48 Cameron Street, Richmond, which comprises two lots legally described as Lot 1 on Title Plan 238647G and Lot 16 on Plan of Subdivision 000671; and
  • the land to its west formerly known as 'Henty Street', which has been consolidated into the larger site (after being formally closed) and is legally described as part of the land in Plan of Consolidation 105419.

Council sought community feedback on the amendment in July-August 2014. Council is expected to consider the approval of the proposed amendment later in 2014.
