Yarra Environment Advisory Committee welcomes new members
27 November 2015
Council this week resolved to appoint new members to the Yarra Environment Advisory Committee (YEAC).
One of Council’s most important avenues for community consultation, YEAC provides input on Council’s environmental policies and helps Council incorporate sustainability principles into a wide range of its services.
Following a publically advertised recruitment process involving a high number of qualified nominees, Council has selected 14 members for a term of two years, including two places specifically allocated to younger community representatives.
Councillor Roberto Colanzi (Mayor) and Councillor Amanda Stone represent Council on the committee.
More details about YEAC, including its Terms of Reference, are available on Council’s webpage.
