Have Your Say on Extended Library Hours

1 June 2016

We’re calling for your feedback on Yarra Libraries’ proposed new extended opening hours.

Council is proposing to extend the opening hours for Yarra libraries by the end of this year, to coincide with the opening of the North Fitzroy Community Hub.

Residents are invited to vote and comment on these proposed changes. These include all libraries opening from 10am Monday to Saturday and more libraries staying open until 8pm from Monday to Thursday.

The proposal involves two options with up to an additional 35  library opening hours a week across Yarra, at no extra cost to Council. The proposed changes result in a reduction in library hours in some areas.

To have your say, go to the link below, view the options and complete the online survey. Or visit one of our libraries and speak to staff. People speaking a language other than English can also seek assistance from library staff.
