Richmond Library to close for revamp
20 June 2016
Richmond Library at 415 Church Street will be closed from Friday 24 June to Monday 11 July while a comprehensive facelift takes place.
The works are being done with funding from the State Government’s 2015 Living Libraries Infrastructure Program. Council received $65,504 for the upgrade and has invested a further $150,000 to allow for a full re-fit, which will include additional IT and computer access for the local community, new furniture, carpet, shelving and other cosmetic alterations,
As a result of these of these works, Yarra Libraries customers can expect improved levels of service and increased opportunity to participate in a range of programs and services not currently provided at the Richmond Library. These include IT training, pop-up maker space activities, talks, cultural events, art installations and exhibitions.
