Park upgrade plans - 2012 update
In late 2011, Council presented a concept plan for the expansion of King William Reserve to residents living around the park.
A key element of that proposal was to expand the park into the adjacent laneway to create more park space, which would have blocked vehicle access to the laneway.
While there was general support for improvements to the park, a number of people were opposed to blocking the laneway so the concept was abandoned.
Council officers have since revised plans for the park, and come up with three possible concepts. None will affect access to and from the laneway.
The concepts are displayed below.
Council is now seeking public feedback on these concepts to help it determine how the park expansion should proceed.
