Burnley Park
Yarra Boulevard, Burnley 3121
Melways ref: 2H, H11
Burnley Park covers more than six hectares, overlooks the Yarra River and is close to Bridge Road and Swan Street.
The park's spacious grounds contain a formal barbeque area, a sporting oval with a pavilion and plenty of open space to kick the footy around. The Corroborree Tree reflects on the location's significance to the area's Aboriginal people.
Removal of car park within Burnley Park
In April 2012, Council resolved to close the 24-space car park accessible off Bellevue Street and return the space to public parkland.
Here is more information about the works.
