

The City of Yarra, City of Melbourne and energy partners have launched a scheme that aims to take the confusion – and some of the cost – away from going green at home.
“Energy saver- it all starts at home” offers renters and home-owners free and low-cost improvements to the energy performance of households.
Yarra City Council is working with installation companies to help residents access all of the subsidies that are on offer from the State and Federal governments.

For residents who live in North Carlton, Princess Hill, Fitzroy North, Clifton Hill, Fairfield and Alphington
Ecovantage is a Melbourne based, Australian owned environmental consultancy. Under the Energy Saver scheme, Ecovantage will replace incandescent globes and inefficient showerheads in households over the next three years and offer free insulation and quality solar hot water heaters.

The Green Project can provide access to a wide variety of energy savings activities either free or at a heavily subsidised cost, completed by an approved and quality assured Green Project installer.

Both Councils have undertaken a competitive process to be able to recommend these companies as suitable providers.
