Yarra Aboriginal Partnerships Plan Wurundjeri Reconciliation and Social Justice

In August 2004 Council adopted the Yarra Aboriginal Partnerships Plan, Wurundjeri Reconciliation and Social Justice, 2004-2008. This five year Plan has assisted Council to work towards Reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Indigenous people, and improve social justice opportunities for the local Koori community. Council worked with the Yarra Aboriginal Advisory Group and Aboriginal consultant, Neenann Multimedia and Consultancy to develop the Plan. In August 2008, a report summarising the activities undertaken under the Aboriginal Partnerships Plan was presented to Council and is available in the link below.  An updated plan for 2010 – 2014 is scheduled to be presented to Council by December 2009.
