The City of Yarra has a diverse community made up of about 76,402 people. Yarra is home to a range of singles, couples and families, and residents who come from a mix of cultures; both English and non English speaking. The City of Yarra has a proud Indigenous history. The Wurundjeri people were the first owners of this part of the country and Council recognises them as the custodians of the cultural heritage of this land.
