Gleadell Street Market

Richmond's Gleadell Street market on Saturdays overflows with seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh bread, herbs, flowers and gourmet delights aplenty. The market is open 7am to 1pm every Saturday except Easter Saturday, Anzac day and two Saturdays over the Christmas period. The original Richmond market opened in 1873 and the traditions of farmers travelling to Richmond to sell their fresh produce continues today.

Enthusiastic stallholders begin arriving as early as 2am to set up their stalls. Why not come along, meet the growers, enjoy the friendly service and sample some of Melbourne's freshest produce?

The market operates from 7.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Free Community Stall

Did you know that Council supports a FREE stall to local Yarra community groups and not-for-profit organisations to sell their arts and crafts at the Gleadell Street market? If you are involved or know of an arts and craft group that would like to fund raise or sell their creative wares, contact Council's community Amenity unit on 9205 5063.
