Yarra Youth Advisory Committee
The Yarra Youth Advisory Committee provides Council with strategic and specialist advice regarding current issues for young people and the planning and delivery of youth programs and services in Yarra.
The Committee was established in 2013. Its purpose is to:
- Provide comment and strategic input on relevant Council policies and strategies as required; and
- Provide advice regarding consultations with the sector and young people to inform service planning and delivery; and
- Identify and discuss key issues and emerging themes for young people and the sector.
The committee meets quarterly at the Richmond Town Hall.
YARRA YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEEKING NEW MEMBERS
Are you aged 12 – 25, and live, study or work in the City of Yarra? Do you want to have more of a say on what matters to young people in your local area? And do you want an opportunity to do something about it?
Yarra City Council is looking for young people to join our new Yarra Youth Advisory Committee.
The Committee will meet six times a year with Councillors and Youth Services staff. You will get the opportunity to meet new people; develop your leadership skills; and help shape how Yarra City Council supports young people in the community. Check out the Committee’s full Terms of Reference.
