Disability Advisory Committee
The Disability Advisory Committee provides advice and support to Council on how it can improve the wellbeing of people with disabilities and their carers.
The committee’s membership includes people with a disability, carers or family members of people with a disability, and other people able to represent the views of Yarra residents living with a disability. Cr Roberto Colanzi chairs the committee's meetings.
In 2013 the committee will meet monthly at the Collingwood Library (11 Stanton Street, Abbotsford) from 4pm-6pm. The dates for the meetings are as follows:

- Tuesday 12 March
- Tuesday 16 April
- Tuesday 14 May
- Tuesday 11 June
- Tuesday 16 July
- Tuesday 13 August
- Tuesday 10 September
- Tuesday 15 October
- Tuesday 26 November

The committee provides advice and support to Council on several matters including:
- The integration of disability access and inclusion principles and best practice into the core activities of Council, and
- Council’s advocacy role to promote access and inclusion at the broader level.
