Active Ageing Advisory Group

grandmother playing with grandaughter Council’s Active Ageing Advisory Group (AAAG) provides advice and support to Council about the needs, interests and wellbeing of Yarra’s older community.

The group provides advice on:

  • the development of policies and programs that impact on the lives of older people in Yarra
  • the integration of age-friendly planning into the core planning activities of Council
  • the implementation of the River of Life Positive Ageing Strategy
  • the promotion of positive portrayals of older people and of Yarra as an inclusive community.

The group meets every three months and is chaired by Yarra Councillor Jackie Fristacky.
