Australia Day Awards

Each year, Council celebrates Australia Day by honouring local people who make a difference to the community.

Council presents Australia Day Awards to individuals and organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to Yarra in the field of community service, sport, arts and culture, the environment, business and economic development.

There are awards for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Woman of the Year, as well as Community Service and Community Event of the Year.

Nominations for the 2013 Australia Day Awards have now closed.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Richmond Town Hall on Australia Day (26 January 2013).
