Yarra Triathlon offers introductory short courses that provide structured training for beginners wanting to develop skills, knowledge and fitness in multisport training.
Stroke Improvement - Five week course
Join us for our stroke improvement courses in 2016. Both courses will use a wide variety of progressive drills to assist participants to improve all areas of swimming. Participants are required to be able to swim 100m freestyle continuously.
May - June Course: This five week course focuses on developing technique and endurance across the form swimming strokes (backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly).

Triathlon / Duathlon
Try a Tri (Summer)
“Try a Tri” provides participants with six weeks of training covering all the fundamentals involved with triathlon; swimming, cycling, running and transitions. Courses conclude with participants completing a triathlon and the confidence and skills to progress into the squad training.
Duathlon 101 (Winter)
“Duathlon 101" provides participants with five weeks of training covering all the fundamentals involved with Duathlon; running, cycling and transitions. Courses conclude with participants completing a duathlon and the confidence and skills to progress into the squad training.
Cycling, Running & Swimming Programs
Cycling courses provide participants with six weeks of training covering all the essential skills of road cycling. Cycling courses use the roads of Kew Boulevard and focuses on specific cycling skills that are adaptable to suit all levels of riders.
Running Courses provide participants with five weeks of training focusing on technique, speed and endurance. The course uses a wide variety of locations and participants complete a wide variety of sessions.
Stroke Correction provides participants with five weeks of training to develop their skills in the four swimming strokes. Courses use a wide variety of progressive drills to assist participants to improve all areas of swimming.
Strength and Endurance Training
Strength and Endurance training provides participants with five weeks of practical and educational information to improve their knowledge on resistance training. Courses provide information covering all areas of resistance training that participants can apply to their training regime.
Yarra Triathlon Training Pass
On completion of any Yarra Triathlon course, participants are provided with a training pass that allows participants to attend any session on the training timetable. This is an opportunity to sample squad training before making a commitment to a Yarra Triathlon membership.
