Read the class descriptions below as classes are graded from a beginner's level through to advanced. If you are relatively fit but lack a little co-ordination programs such as Body Attack and Body Step are suitable. Always arrive early to classes giving you time to set up your equipment such as steps and chat to the instructor. They can give you valuable workout tips!
Patrons are not permitted to enter the class after the warm up has been completed (5 minutes after the start).
What do I wear? Wear comfortable clothing and runners. Bring along a sweat towel, water bottle and comfortable clothing.
- Be sure to advise your instructor if you have any existing injuries/conditions or are pregnant, before the class.
- For your safety please ensure you attend both the warm up and cool down phases of the class.
- Bring along a sweat towel, water bottle and comfortable clothing, shoes are compulsory - BODYBALANCE™, Yoga and Pilates being exceptions.
- Please ensure you are on time for your class, as refusal may offend. To avoid disruption and to prevent injury, we reserve the right to refuse entry to a class if you miss the warm up phase.
- No bags are to be brought into the studios.
- If leaving before the class finishes please leave your equipment to be put away at the end of the session, to avoid disturbing others.
- Attendees at group sessions should be aware of and respect Yarra Leisure's code of conduct.
- We recommend the use of mats for Yoga, Pilates, Body Balance and CXWORX - these are not provided but are available for sale at Reception.
- We recommend the use of boxing gloves for the Boxing Circuit sessions - these are not provided but are available for sale at Reception.

Boxing Circuit: Interval training session blending strength and cardio by using speedballs, punching bags, technique and pad work. Suitable for all levels.
Circuit: A combination of strength and cardio based training using varying equipment and interval training. Suitable for all levels.
Circuit 45: Circuit workout express format, 45 minutes.
DWR: A low-impact, running-training inspired workout in the water for anyone who loves the challenge to run with extra resistance.
New Body: An addictive mix of easy to follow cardio with challenging barbell work, excellent for those who want to work hard, get fit, stay fit or get fitter. Suitable for all.
Pilates 1: Step by step introduction to mat Pilates. Simple exercises to build core strength, support your lower back and bring flexibility to spine, hips and shoulders. No previous experience required. *Pilates classes are unsuitable during pregnancy.
Pilates 2: Dynamic mat Pilates exercises to further challenge and enhance strength, flexibility and understanding of principles developed in Pilates 1. *Pilates classes are unsuitable during pregnancy.
Spin: Indoor cycling where you can adjust the resistance allowing for a fantastic cardio workout. Great for all levels.
Spin Express: 30 minute Spin format
Spin Extreme: 90 minute Spin format
Yoga: Unites the body, mind & spirit and can help align posture and increase range of movement. It increases flexibility and balance, and helps relaxation from stress.
Yoga 1: General Yoga class, suitable for beginners: Standing poses, forward bends, back bends and twists for strength, flexibility and a sense of wellbeing.
Yoga 2: Intermediate participants - ready for new challenges: Introduction to inverted poses (alternatives offered).
Yoga 3: Experienced participants only (familiar with inverted poses): Technique refining with dynamic sessions including strong standing poses and full back bends.
Zumba: Ditch the workout and join the party! A mix of low-intensity and high-intensity dance moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning fitness party.
Small Group Training Programs
HIIT: HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. Using the latest in cardio equipment, you will do multiple short intervals on various equipment to get you fit, fast.
Pavi: A fun and functional training session on the interactive Pavi flooring. A combination of body weight exercises and free weights to test your strength, stamina, agility and more.
Strength: Class designed to help you improve your strength and better your technique on major lifts like squats, deadlifts, and presses.
X-Press: A high intensity circuit style class using machines and free weights. A great way to increase your mobilisation, this class is designed to test your muscular strength and endurance and get you toned.
The small group training sessions are suitable for all levels of fitness. Our instructors can modify sessions to suit individual needs.
Please note - small group training sessions are only available to members with access to our gym facilities.
