Fitzroy Swimming Pool
Fitzroy Pool is Melbourne's premier 50-metre outdoor heated pool, and a favourite summertime playground for Yarra residents.
After a brief closure in 1994, the pool was re-opened following a grassroots community campaign to save the much-loved facility.
It continues to grow in strength and popularity, but still retains that community spirit.
Along with its outdoor crystal clear waters, the centre’s facilities include; a new refurbished gymnasium, spinning studio, group fitness classes, and spa, sauna, steam room.
As you can see, there’s something for everyone at the Fitzroy Swimming Pool.
The Fitzroy Swimming Pool is located on Alexandra Parade, Fitzroy. The Centre is open every day of the week, and on most public holidays.
SoundWaves returns to Fitzroy Swimming Pool
The popular annual SoundWaves event is back on again at Fitzroy Swimming Pool in February.
SoundWaves is a program of poolside DJs, providing chilled out music while swimmers escape the heat, every Sunday afternoon from 1-5pm during February.

Summer weekend Opening Hours
From Saturday 3 December 2011 until Sunday 26 February 2012, the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) opening hours of the aquatic areas at Fitzroy Swimming Pool will be extended by one hour to 7pm.
Disability access
To ensure all members of the public, including those with disabilities or special needs, can access the Fitzroy Swimming Pool, we provide the following services and facilities:
- disabled parking facilities
- external ramp access to the Centre
- ramp access to the Swimming Pool
- change room facilities
