Many schools in Victoria have adopted the exciting and innovative EcoRecycle schools Waste Wise program and curricula. These schools are proving to be excellent role models for other schools, as well as the local community.
Being an accredited Waste Wise School can greatly improve the image of your school. It will let parents know that your school meets a standard of excellence in waste and litter minimisation, as well as educating the decision makers of tomorrow about waste reduction.
If you would like more information on how your school can become Waste Wise, please contact the Waste Management Officer on 9205 5093.

A range of publications including the new "Builder's Code of Practice", for construction sites within the municipality, are available from the Richmond Town Hall. It is expected that all owners/builders/developers operating in the City of Yarra will comply with this Code. The Code, in conjunction with Council's 'Waste Management Plan' and Environment Local Laws provides builders, developers, residents and traders with a comprehensive guide to maintaining environmentally friendly and safe construction sites.
