Waste Collection

Council manages the collection of waste and recyclables for residential properties within the City of Yarra. Residents are encouraged to think sustainably and recycle as much as they can, to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Our waste service also maintains 25,000 street and park bins across the City, and routinely cleans all local streets and major shopping strips.

Council has developed and improved its waste collection services to better meet the community’s needs and help increase rates of recycling and re-use across Yarra.
