Recreation
The City of Yarra offers a range of leisure and recreation opportunities including beautiful parks and gardens, picturesque areas along the Yarra River, bike and walking paths, sports grounds, three multi-functional leisure facilities with gymnasiums and pools and a nine-hole golf course.
With a network of over 230 hectares of open space, including 36 public playgrounds, skate parks, sporting ovals, river views and nature trails, there is plenty to explore for people of all ages and abilities.
Late season casual training inquiries
Due to the wet winter and large load of games and training, Yarra's sports grounds will no longer be available for casual/one off training for football teams outside Yarra until further notice.
Local clubs based in Yarra and already scheduled bookings will be accommodated as per bookings and their needs.
Affected grounds include:
- Victoria Park
- Loughnan Oval
- Brunswick Street Oval
- Alfred Cresent Oval
- Citizens Park.
